About Woodlands Way, Welwyn

Clarke and Whalen Architects were commisioned to design two detached dormer bungalows to replace a single bunglaow for a local residential developer.

Due to the sloping nature of the site, the houses were set in the hillside with a stepped garden to the rear. The overall height of the properties were kept to a minimum to reduce the impact on the neighbouring properties.

Service provided

Clarke and Whalen Architects were commision to obtain planning permission, and for the preparation of the construction drawings for Building Control submission.

We also assisted the developer on site, answering technical queries and liasing with the Building Control Officer and NHBC.

RIBA Work stages 0-4.
